Level of difficulty (Intermediate to Advanced)
Time – 1 to 2 hours depending on skill level
Instructions:
1. Cut 1 length of 25” cording, 28” cording, and 2 lengths of 31” cording.
2. Row 1 – Using 25” of cording, string 18 gold 4mm, 27 round 3mm, (hematite square, shell chip, hematite square, 3mm) repeat 16 times, 26 round 3mm and 18 gold 4mm. Set aside.
3. Row 2 – Using 28” of cording, string 22 tubes, (gold 4mm, 3 lentils) repeat 6 times, gold 4mm and 22 tubes. Set aside.
4. Row 3 – Using 31” of cording, string13 hematite 6mm, (2 round 8mm, gold rondelle) repeat 3 times, 2 round 8mm, 8” of shell chips, (2 round 8mm, gold rondelle) repeat 3 times, 2 round 8mm and 13 hematite 6mm. Set aside.
5. Row 4 – Remove bale from peace pendant.
6. Using 31” of cording, fold in the middle, pass through pendant and form a larks knot.
7. Left side – String 3mm, (gold rondelle, 10mm round) repeat 10 times, (gold rondelle, 4 round 4mm) repeat 4 times, gold rondelle and round 4mm.
8. Repeat step 7 on right side of necklace.
9. Left Side – Bring all strands together and form an overhand knot.
10. Attach 6mm jump ring to 10mm jump ring.
11. String 6mm jump ring and form 2 overhand knots.
12. Separate strands – Strand 1 – Form a simple knot, string hematite 6mm, form a simple knot, move down ¼” form a simple knot, string chip and form a simple knot. Trim end of cording.
13. Strand 2 – Form a simple knot, string 4 hematite squares, form a simple knot, move down ¼” form a simple knot, string lentil and form a simple knot. Trim end of cording.
14. Strand 3 – Form a simple knot, string 4mm, form a simple knot, move down ¼” form a simple knot, string 2 gold rondelles and form a simple knot. Trim end of cording.
15. Strand 1 – Form a simple knot, string small tube, form a simple knot, move down ¼” form a simple knot, string gold round 4mm and form a simple knot. Trim end of cording.
16. Repeat step 9.
17. Attach 6mm jump ring to lobster clasp.
18. String 6mm jump and form 2 overhand knots. Trim long ends and dab knot with super glue.
