Pretty palettes - MAY 2018 Inspiration

Welcome to May's Pretty Palette Challenge!

Get inspired with a Pretty Palette of Bead Gallery® beads from the Halcraft Collection

It is most certainly spring here in Indiana. The magnolia trees are blooming their sweet branches off and I've been treating myself to morning walks just to take it all in.

Welcome to Halcraft Collection's May Pretty Palette Challenge! It's a fun way to jumpstart your creativity, add some amazing beads to your collection, and share your projects with the rest of the beading community!

This month's Pretty Palette is inspired by a trip to the zoo. A nearby zoo has a group of peafowl that walk about uncaged to the pure delight of the children and zoo guests. Did you know that only the males are called "peacocks" and that a group of peafowl (both males and females) can be called an "ostentation"? I just love the over-the-top iridescent peacock and I am always excited to see them out and about.

The image to the right shows just how gorgeous the plumage of these amazing birds is up close! Peacocks' plumage is often found about the zoo because peacocks shed their feathers and grow new ones after each mating season. No peacocks were harmed in the making of this month's Pretty Palette blog post. ;)

All of the May Pretty Palette beads and components are 30% off during the month of May! It's my treat to you to help keep your beading fun and inspiring, as well as affordable! Here's how to join the challenge:

1. Read about the Pretty Palette challenge on the first Wednesday of the month. Well done! You can check that off your list.
2. Get your Pretty Palette beads at a discount with quick and easy ordering by clicking the button above or the button at the end of the post.
3. Patiently wait while we get your amazing beads to you as quickly as possible! (Waiting might be the hardest part.)
4. Once you have the beads in hand, create something that is YOU! Feel free to add beads from your stash that flow with the provided palette or use only a portion of the beads chosen here. The key is to have fun and use your creativity!
5. Share an image of your creation on the last Wednesday of the month (May 30th this month) in our Beaded Jewelry Facebook group or tag Halcraft Collection with #PrettyPalettes and follow us on Instagram! I will be posting my project here on the blog as well as in the group. Visit at the end of the month for free instructions if you want to make what I've made!

You can use these exact beads for your project, or you can wander through the Halcraft Collection website and find others that strike you and coordinate with May's Pretty Palette. Take your time and look around. Search by color to find the specific colors from this palette!
