Get inspired with a tropical palette of Bead Gallery® beads from the Halcraft Collection
Is it spring yet? How about now? Sigh. It's not yet spring here, but this Pretty Palette really, really warmed me up! Not only did the Tahitian Twist Pretty Palette take a bit of the chill out of my studio, it also ignited my imagination, and I found an exciting direction with the beads this month!

The biggest trigger for inspiration for me this month was the two-holed rosewood beads. I used the ones in the materials list, and I also dug into my stash to find two other sizes, because my original design needed some tweaking that involved MORE BEADS! I started by making the funky stretch bracelet that you see above with the necklace. I strung the beads onto stretch cord in an "S" like path for an easy-to-wear bracelet with a bit of panache. The tiny 11/0 Czech red glass seed beads as well as the smaller two-hole rosewood beads. The larger ones were too large to fit together like "bricks" as I strung them. You can see my process in the Instagram post below and see the finished Tahitian Twist Stretch Bracelet below.
I found that the more I worked with the two-holed rosewood beads, the more I wanted to work them into graphic ladder-like configuration for the necklace. The result was a really interesting wired pendant , complete with tassels--how I love tassels!!! Click for instructions to make your own Tahitian Twist Necklace.
I absolutely fell in love with the large Indian lampwork glass oval beads, and because they are significantly larger than the other beads, I found myself grouping them with the imitation malachite rounds for an easy memory bracelet filled with texture and paint-spatter spots. The charms and tassels make the perfect finishing touches on the Tahitian Twist Memory Wire Bracelet.
