chain-nose pliers (2)

Level of difficulty: intermediate)

Time: about 1 hour

Tip: Play around with the length of the bracelet so that it fits your (or the intended recipient’s) wrist. You might want only one wrap; you might want 6 wraps. Have fun with it and customize the bracelet to suit your own tastes with other charms and beads.

1. Cut a piece of leather and connect the fold-over cord end to the end with chain nose pliers. Open a jump ring and place the lobster clasp onto it. Slide these onto the loop of the cord end and close the jump ring.
2. Cut a 3” piece of German wire. Slide a small pearl onto the wire so that it sits in the middle of the wire, and then wrap either side of the wire around the deerskin lace about 1” from the cord end.
3. Trim the wire so that the end is at the back of the bracelet. Use chain nose pliers to tidy the wire and push the end of the wire into the lace.
4. Repeat step 3, spacing the pearls as you like (I used 2 small pearls then one large and repeated).
5. Connect the other fold-over cord end into the opposite end of the leather cord. Open the second jump ring and add your charm onto it, connecting it to the loop of the fold–over end.
