Wire nippers
Round nose pliers
2 – Chain nose pliers
Chasing hammer
Small steel bench block

Level of difficulty (Advanced)

Tip: After wrapping wire, push wire loops together with thumb before adding the next bead.

Depending on the shape of your earring base, you may need to add or subtract beads to fit the shape.

Time – 1 to 2 hours depending on skill level

Easy To Follow DIY Instructions

Forming Earring Base
1. Cut 7” of 18g wire.
2. Form a bend upward at center of wire.
3. Move over approximately ¼”, and bend wire up
4. Manipulate wire with fingers to achieve desired form.
5. Left side of wire, form a simple loop.
6. Right side - String pendant, wrap wire around bottom of loop 1 time. Trim excess wire.
7. Place earring base on bench block and gently hammer, moving pendant out of the way on each side of wire.
Wire Wrapping Beads
8. Cut 5” of 26g wire.
9. Coil/wrap end of wire around the top earring base 3 times.
10. String topaz 3mm, form 3 coils/wraps and trim wire.
11. Cut 5” of 26g wire.
12. Coil/wrap end of wire around earring base 3 times.
13. String rose gold 4mm, form 3 coils/wraps and trim wire.
14. Cut 5” of 26g wire.
15. Coil/wrap end of wire around earring base 3 times.
16. String 2 topaz 3mm, form 3 coils/wraps, and trim wire.
17. Cut 5” of 26g wire.
18. Coil/wrap end of wire around earring base 3 times.
19. String 2 olivine AB 4mm, form 3 coils/wraps, and trim wire.
20. Cut 5” of 26g wire.
21. Coil/wrap end of wire around earring base 3 times.
22. String 2 honey amber 4mm, form 3 coils/wraps, and trim wire.
23. Cut 5” of 26g wire.
24. Coil/wrap end of wire around earring base 3 times.
25. String 2 green/purple luster 4mm, form 3 coils/wraps, and trim wire.
26. Cut 5” of 26g wire.
27. Coil/wrap end of wire around earring base 3 times.
28. String 2 rose gold 4mm, form 3 coils/wraps, and trim wire.
29. Cut 5” of 26g wire.
30. Coil/wrap end of wire around earring base 3 times.
31. String 1 topaz 3mm, loop on pendant, 1 topaz 3mm, form 3 coils/wraps, and trim wire.
32. Attach ear wire to top loop of earring.
33. Repeat steps 1-32 for 2nd earring.
