Nut Beads

Halcraft Collection’s nut beads are made from the nut of the talipot palm tree. Talipot palms are native to eastern and southern India and can grow to be some of the largest palm trees in the world, reaching up to 82 feet tall. It flowers only once when it is between 30 and 80 years old and makes thousands of round, fruit, each containing a seed or nut. The nuts of the Talipot palm tree have dark brown skin over the white meat of the nut. This beautiful contrast makes the nuts perfect for bearing carved designs. After the nuts are carved, the white meat turns yellow when left unpolished.

Nut beads have a great natural look and feel and have been made this way for hundreds of years. You can use Halcraft Collection's nut beads as an elegant way to add dimension and texture without too much weight to any of your jewelry designs.
