Cabochons

A cabochon–often referred to as a “cab”is a gemstone that has been polished and shaped as opposed to being faceted. This French word describes the default method of stone carving before the advent of modern faceting and stone cutting. Cabochons are perfectly flat on one side and are carved and polished to have a curvature on the other side to expose as much of the pattern in each stone as possible so that they "pop" in any design. Cabochons make beautiful focal points for jewelry. They’re typically used to make pendants and rings. Halcraft Collection’s natural stone cabochons are large and beautiful and are perfect for being woven into a beaded design or adhered onto a flat surface and then surrounded by beads into a beaded bezel to highlight their natural beauty. Use Halcraft Collection’s stone cabochons to bring any of your natural jewelry designs to life!
