Deco Daze DIY Jewelry Set - Art Deco is a style of design that became popular in the 1920s and 1930s. At the height of the Art Deco movement, it's influence was seen in buildings, furniture, jewelry, fashion, cars, movie theaters, ocean liners, and everyday objects. This stylized form was modern for its time and represented luxury, glamour, and exuberance.
Art Deco incorporated many different styles, often contradictory merging together to create a modern style. It is influenced by bold geometric forms and bright colors. The Art Deco movement is the inspiration for the Deco Daze DIY jewelry set. When I stumbled upon these hematite cubes they immediately reminded of the Art Deco style. I decided to create this stunning Deco Daze statement necklace that reminds me of a city skyline. This necklace was handcrafted using Bead Gallery:
Next we have the Deco Daze statement bracelet. This bracelet may look complicated but if you can form a simple loop you can create this design. Simply string a head pin, form a loop and then stack looped hematite and cubed hematite on stretch cord to complete this chic design. The bracelet was hand crafted using Bead Gallery hematite 4x4m large stone cubes.
Our last project for this week is the Deco Daze earrings. I love these new ear wire pins by Bead Landing™. They are perfect for the beginning beader. String your beads onto the ear wire pins and form a simple loop. You can attach a dangle, charm or fringe to the bottom loop for a variety of different looks. These deco inspired earrings were handcrafted using Bead Gallery:
